Michelin North America has been acknowledged by the US military for its tyre supply and logistics services. At the 2011 DLA Industry Conference and Exhibition the tyre maker received two Best Value Awards from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
“This award from the Defense Logistics Agency reflects Michelin’s expertise, reliability and commitment to supporting our military’s mobility through our global supply chain capabilities,” said Dick Wilkerson, chairman and president of Michelin North America. “Working with our partners at Lockheed Martin and SAIC, as well as our suppliers, we are able to offer our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines the ‘right-tyre, on-time’ service they need. The men and women of the US military sacrifice a lot to serve our country, we at Michelin are glad we get the chance to serve them in this way.”
