Pirelli have decided that using Paul Hembery as their tyre tester would work for them, and he is an ‘ideal candidate’ and Hembery has already previously said that he would consider doing it.
“We need an extremely experienced but also very fit driver, who can do 500 miles a day and not collapse afterwards,” said Hembery.
“Heidfeld fits this profile very well and would be an ideal candidate.”
“Until the last race in Abu Dhabi, we will do six tests with an F1 car from 2009,” Hembery added.
Its not the lap times that are concerning Pirelli it’s the development and the reliability of the tyresand its apparent that they will be tested at 6 different racing circuits.
