Apollo Tyres Reopen

Tyre company Apollo Tyres whose factory is based in Perambra are finally back open after a 2 month strike.
The management finally settled on an agreement which sorted out the issues that has risen. Starting on 11th June 2010 and lasting until 21st August 2010 the strike would have lost 308 tonnes of tyres a day, but not that number has been increased to 330 tonnes a day since reopening. The agreement states that Apollo Tyres will hire a number of 200 staff and have also increased payment to the workers of Rs. 5,250.
Mr. Satish Sharma from Apollo Tyres Chief stated “after long deliberations with workers, the management has signed LTS and as per the agreement, the company will increase the capacity to an effective 330 tonnes per day”.
