As the Monaco Grand Prix is this coming weekend, all of the Formula 1 teams are hoping that a deal with tyre suppliers is agreed before that day comes.
It is hoped that tyre supplier Bridgestone are still using their tyres in Formula 1, as after the last Grand Prix it was said that Nick Fry, Mercedes announced that there was still queries on if Bridgestone will stay on.
If Bridgestone don’t stay at Formula 1 there are 3 other interested tyre suppliers such as Pirelli,Michelin and Cooper/Avon.
“The encouraging thing is that we are in a massively better position than we were three or four weeks ago when it looked as though we might only have one maybe opportunity open to us. “Now we’ve got three and I think discussions are still going on trying to persuade Bridgestone that they might like to stay. Even if they don’t there’s three options open to us and I think any of those three could provide a suitable tyre.”
